About Frigid Air LLC

Frigid Air LLC is a Hamilton, New Jersey–based HVACR and commercial refrigeration company founded in 2005. For more than two decades, we’ve provided dependable refrigeration, ice machine, and HVAC service to restaurants, grocery stores, franchise operators, government facilities, and homeowners throughout Central New Jersey and the surrounding region.

Our work is built around one simple principle: when cooling systems fail, businesses and families need a reliable team that shows up prepared, communicates clearly, and solves the problem correctly the first time.

A Local Company Built in Hamilton New Jersey

The businesses we service, the restaurants we support, and the facilities we maintain are all part of the same community where we live and work.

Frigid Air LLC was founded by Hamilton Township resident Douglas “Doug” Palmeri, who began his HVAC-R training at Assunpink Vocational School while attending Steinert High School. After entering the trade with a local contractor and gaining hands-on experience in refrigeration and HVAC systems, Doug established Frigid Air in 2005 with the goal of building a service company grounded in reliability and local accountability.

Since then, the company has grown alongside the community it serves. Frigid Air has hired more than twenty local employees over the years and continues to employ technicians and staff from Hamilton and nearby towns.

While Frigid Air provides HVAC services for both commercial and residential customers, the company has developed a strong specialization in commercial refrigeration and ice machine systems.

Built Around Commercial Refrigeration

strong specialization in commercial refrigeration and ice machine systems.

Many of the businesses we support depend on refrigeration equipment operating continuously. A failed walk-in cooler, reach-in refrigerator, or ice machine can quickly disrupt service and lead to product loss. Because of that, our team is structured to diagnose issues quickly, stabilize systems, and restore performance with minimal disruption.

We regularly service:

  • Walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Reach-in refrigerators and freezers
  • Prep tables and foodservice refrigeration
  • Commercial ice machines
  • Beverage and display coolers
  • Rooftop HVAC units and commercial heating systems

Our experience across multiple equipment types allows us to support restaurants, retail environments, institutional facilities, and multi-location operations with consistent service.

Our Core Values

Cornerstone beliefs we never compromise

Frigid Air operates with a straightforward philosophy: diagnose accurately, explain clearly, and complete the work properly.

When equipment fails or begins to show signs of trouble, our technicians focus on identifying the root cause rather than applying temporary fixes. Once the issue is diagnosed, we explain the problem, outline the available solutions, and provide clear pricing before work begins.

Many customers call us for emergency repairs, but a large part of our work focuses on helping businesses prevent those emergencies through structured maintenance programs and early problem detection.

Supporting Businesses Across the Region

Qualified technicians you can feel good hiring, with training that stays current

Frigid Air’s service footprint extends beyond Hamilton Township. Our technicians regularly support clients throughout Central New Jersey, the Jersey Shore, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Staten Island.

The businesses we work with range from independent restaurants and local markets to franchise operators and institutional facilities that require dependable refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Because many of our commercial clients operate high-demand environments, we maintain a service structure that includes 24/7 emergency response, extensive equipment familiarity, and a strong focus on preventative maintenance planning.
